   Vision: Bob Hogue(R)

I have a vision for our state 20 years from now, a vision where we will all enjoy greater individual freedom with less government interference and intrusion in our lives. I envision a state with lower levels of taxation, and a streamlined government tightly focused on core functions. I see a state with a business-friendly climate and decreased bureaucracy and paperwork, and the thriving, diversified economy that would inevitably spring up when freed of its current burdens. I imagine a government that respects the privacy of individuals, and allows them to pursue their dreams unhindered by unnecessary or counterproductive regulations. I foresee a public school system run by local school boards free to manage their own money, where individuals can choose which schools to attend and where schools compete for students by offering motivated, trained teachers and well-maintained facilities. I picture a government focused on maximizing freedom of individuals and markets, thrifty in the use of taxpayer money, and courteous and respectful to its employers – the citizens of this soon-to-be-great state.

I have a dream of a state run by Republicans, acting on Republican virtues. I ask you to join me in working to make this dream a reality.
