GRIH Fall/Spring Internship Program |
|
The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii is currently seeking candidates for the Institute’s internship program. The program provides undergraduate and graduate level students the ability to gain work experience at Hawaii’s only free-market think tank. Interns will work directly with Institute staff, including the President, Director of Communications, and Director of Operations. "I have two main goals for our Internship program," said GRIH President Jamie Story. "Our first goal is to equip our Interns with good real world experiences and resume material so that they are better prepared to fight for liberty at the end of their time with us, and secondly to get some good research produced that Grassroot can utilize and publish with the Interns name." Applicants may qualify for an internship in the areas of Policy, Development, Media, or some combination thereof. The internship will culminate with the intern presenting an overview of his/her work to an audience of staff and outside experts, as well as an exit interview with the Institute’s President. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to free-market principles, strong writing and communications skills, professionalism in attitude and appearance, and the initiative and willingness to undertake research, writing, and administrative projects. Full- and part-time policy, development, and media internships will receive a stipend commensurate with skills, experience, and hours worked. If you know of anyone who might be interested please have them send a cover letter, resume, and a writing sample to: -GIR- |
