DALE EVANS
Ms. Evans has been President and Board Chairman of Airport Transport Management, Inc. (ATM, Inc.) since 1992. Previous positions include Managing Director of Bus Plus, a dba of Oahu Paratransit Options, Inc. (1990 - 1993); and President (1976-1986) and Executive Vice President (1969-1974) of Charley¹s Tour & Transportation. Ms. Evans has been an advocate of paratransit since early 1971, when she researched and gathered witnesses to justify a grant of PUC application for the first motorcoach license issued in 11 years. Evans obtained the first 100% fuel allocation from the Federal Energy Office in 1973 for priority-class end-users, setting a national precedent for end users such as taxi drivers, firemen and policemen who were buying fuel at gas stations. She has also organized and lobbied for implementation and subsidy of subscription express bus service for O'ahu's rush hour commuters. In 1960, Ms. Evans received a Bachelors of Science degree in Political Science and Business Administration from the University of Oregon - Eugene. Previously she attended Oregon State University, at Corvallis, 1956-7; Roosevelt High School, Honolulu, Class of '56; Stevenson Intermediate School; and Aliiolani Elementary School. Her first job was as a full-time volunteer at the Blood Bank Of Hawaii business office during the summers of 1953-1955. She also was licensed and drove a taxicab in the summer of 1957.
