The presumption of anthropogenic (human-caused) global warming is a prevailing concern among academics, politicians, and environmentalists. On a daily basis, the media report that human-caused elevated levels of carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere are responsible for increasing temperatures that will contribute to a rise in sea levels, tsunamis, food storages, starvation, and spread of disease.
