The 2008 Preserving the American Dream conference: "Preserving Freedom and Mobility"
May 16-18, 2008 at the
Omni Houston Hotel,
Four Riverway, Houston, TX
Are so-called "smart-growth" planners threatening your property
rights? Are wasteful rail transit projects eating away your tax
dollars? Then don't miss the Preserving the American Dream conference
in Houston on May 16-18, 2008.
This is the only national conference focusing on free-market and
property-rights solutions to land-use and transportation problems.
You will meet dozens of national and international experts on housing
affordability, mobility, zoning, and congestion. Special sessions
will cover such topics as global warming, peak oil, the
reconstruction of New Orleans, rail transit, and changing zoning into
covenants.
Conference-goers can also take an optional tour of Houston showing
how a major city can protect livability without zoning. The
conference is cosponsored by the Cato Institute, Reason Foundation,
Grassroot Institute, and a variety of other groups.
For more information, including a list of confirmed speakers and how
to register, please visit the American Dream Coalition website.
