"I am writing to thank the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii for the fine work it is doing. Sometimes think tanks get the reputation for being all "think" and no "taking action." But this is not so with the Grassroot Institute. The fine programs and presenters brought into Hawaii have directly influenced legislation. I look forward to sponsoring and introducing proposed legislation informed and shaped by the innovative ideas of the Grassroot Institute. We have been reminded that bigger isn't always better and that the market can solve problems which government only tends to make worse. Dick Rowland deserves our thanks. I am a better legislator because of the outstanding public policy work of this local think tank. Mahalo!"

"The Grassroot Institute provides invigorating ideas to Hawaii's
moribund political establishment. They can be counted upon for candor,
integrity and enthusiasm while inflicting common sense and, in some
quarters, trepidation."

"One of the very few public voices for the commonsense man..."

“Thank you for all the work you did to organize the Freedom Forum in Pearl City. I think this was the best Freedom Forum we’ve had in the fours years I’ve been participating. The response of the group was tremendous. It looks like that they are hungry to do some good and important things for Hawaii. Keep up the good work.”
