The Hawaii County Spend-O-Meter is based upon total amount appropriated of $326,699,178.00 by the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year 2006-2007 beginning July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007. This includes “all funds” including all state special funds and federal funds.

 

The Spend-O-Meter calculates the amount spent since midnight July 1, 2005 as if it were to occur at a progressive, orderly fashion at the per-millisecond rate noted above. The Spend-O-Meter is not designed to reflect actual spending, but projected spending based on the approved budget.

 

The Spend-O-Meter calculates the rate based on your computer's clock. If your clock is not properly set, the numbers may be inaccurate.
