Why Hayley Borges left Hawaii

“I was born and raised in Hawaii, and left after I graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy to go to college. I went to Northern Arizona University to get a new experience, and it was an affordable out-of-state college. I do miss Hawaii, and sometimes wish I could go back. But Oahu has changed so much and is so expensive. My family won’t be there for long either, once they can retire to the mainland.”

Former resident of Kapolei and Hawaii Kai
