As a servant of the people, our state and county governments should perform their essential functions efficiently and justly, so as to avoid waste, abuse and ever-increasing taxes. High levels of taxation limit freedom of choice for taxpayers, discourage investment by entrepreneurs, and raise the cost of living and doing business for all.
