Working for a better economy, better government and a better society
The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii values limited and accountable government. As a servant of the people, our state and county governments should perform their essential functions efficiently and justly, so as to avoid waste, abuse and ever-increasing taxes. High levels of taxation limit freedom of choice for taxpayers, discourage investment by entrepreneurs, and raise the cost of living and doing business for all.
Hawaii legislators are considering raising taxes on the wealthy and giving tax credits to the poor. But this isn’t exactly what Robin Hood had in mind.
