The 20th Anniversary Gala

The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii is proud to celebrate its 20th anniversary of promoting a better Hawaii based on the values of individual liberty, economic freedom and accountable government.
To celebrate this milestone, we will be hosting a special gala at the Ko‘olau Ballroom on Saturday, March 5, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Join us for an evening of good food, inspiring speakers and live comedy and musical entertainment, all hosted by Hawaii's leading morning radio personality, Michael W. Perry.
Matt Kibbe is the president of Free the People, an educational organization turning the next generation on to the values of liberty. He produces and hosts the podcast show Kibbe on Liberty. Kibbe also a cofounder and partner at Fight the Power Productions, a strategic communications firm focused on video and storytelling.
Michael W. Perry is host of Hawaii’s No. 1 daily morning radio program, “Perry & the Posse,” on KSSK AM and FM. He is also on the board of directors of the REHAB Hospital of the Pacific and chair of the Takitani Foundation.
James Roche and Tony Silva are Da Braddahs, the “loco” local comedy group starring in local TV shows and commercials and famous for poking fun at the many cultures that make Hawaii unique.
SOFT JAZZ BAND
The Nalu Collective is a quartet doing its own take on contemporary and classic hits, as well as some lesser known tunes coming from jazz, R&B, neo soul and world music
Bobby Moderow, Jr. is a slack key guitarist and founding member of the award-winning group Maunalua.
